Carol Lynn, a DJ at WFMH Radio in Cullman, Alabama, joined listeners Brenda Chambers and Brenda Chambers to present Bill with a photo-cake at an appearance in Birmingham.

Bill visited on the air with Channel 5 news reporter, Lydia Lenker during the official grand opening of the Gaylord Entertainment Center in downtown Nashville.

Later, inside the arena, Bill joined fellow Grand Ole Opry members Jeannie Seely and Little Jimmy Dickens for an autograph session.

Bill and songwriter Sharon Vaughn teamed up to perform at Nashville's famed Bluebird Cafe for a television special, which aired on the new Turner South Network.

Bill and Sharon were joined in-the-round by guitarists Les Singer and Mike Severs.
