Bill was honored with a standing ovation at the Grand Ole Opry this Memorial Day weekend! One of Friday nights guests at the Grand Ole Opry was Joe Nichols. Joe and Bill took a moment to talk about a new song Bill wrote and Joe is planning to record for his upcoming new album.
 
   
   
Whiskey Lullaby Wins ACM's

Congratulations Bill! Whiskey Lullaby won Music Row Magazines' Song of The Year honor. This years Music Row Awards presentation was hosted by ASCAP and attended by a capacity crowd of over 200 well-wishers in Nashville TN.
 
   
   
Bill Is Part Of CMA's Strongest Daytime Lineup in CMA Music Festival History
 
The 2005 CMA Music Festival is shaping up to be the best yet! This year Bill is part of CMA's strongest daytime lineup in CMA Music Festival history. The full lineup for the Daily Concerts showcases the diversity of Country Music from traditional to alt.country; from the legends to today's radio favorites. The non-stop performances take place on side-by-side stages with state-of-the-art production including video screens. More than 30 hours of musical performances are scheduled during the four days. Patriotic Night At The Opry
"It was a night overflowing with patriotism at the Grand Ole Opry House recently when Defense Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, paid country music's most famous home a visit. Bill enjoyed a backstage chat with Mr. Rumsfeld, then joined Opry legend, Little Jimmy Dickens, and Gaylord Entertainment CEO, Colin Reed, in presenting their guest with a guitar made of wood from the hallowed Ryman Auditorium pews. Later, Bill videotaped a message to the troops overseas in support of the Pentagon's 'America Supports You' campaign."

Anderson and Blue Win European CMA Award!
 
Bill Anderson and Rustie Blue have won the Vocal Collaboration of the Year for “Chip Chip” in the 2005 European CMA Awards Choice! "Chip Chip" the single was released to radio in early August 2004, and can be found on Bill's newest album "The Way I Feel". It also became the title track to Rustie's third album, released in mid-October.
 
   
   
Bill Featured On CMT Special In May!
CMT will feature a 2-hour show called "The 40 Greatest Firsts" and our own Whisperin' Bill will be featured! His interview was recently taped at the Grand Ole Opry House and discussed such topics as Bill being the "first" country artist to host network game shows, as well as being the "first" country singer to record disco songs.
